The proliferation of new media, however, is an unavoidable phenomenon. It is a reality!
The fast development of information and communication technology provides unlimited accesses to the internet. There are bunches of free facilities people can have through the internet. The meaning of journalism and the definition of journalist become debatable. At the same time, the growing concern on environmental issues has been creating a ‘less paper’ society.
The subscription numbers of newspapers are significantly decreasing (or deminishing?). The 20-40 years old population is hardly reading newspaper but local issues and sports. To make it worse, TV stations have been consuming bigger percentage of advertising expenditures.
Now, the question is: “Is there a future for printed media?”

Mr. Ronny…
Printed media should combine their service with online media.
Saya cuma ingin berkomentar.
Dear Sharon (Alderina),
You pointed out a very true direction to the future of mass media.
I strongly believe that the use of online media will be increasing at the same pace with the decreasing of telecommunication (internet connection) cost and speed.
At the moment, in some countries, the internet connection cost is basically too expensive.
